In a nutshell, Fibe TV was installed in my home and did not function properly. Over the course of two weeks, I was visited by four technicians who could not get the Fibe TV service to work properly.
I cancelled the Fibe TV service and over the course of the next six months, I spent countless hours on the phone with Bell Canada customer service and billing representatives trying to cancel the service and to receive a credit for the money I had spent. My experience with Bell Canada and Fibe TV was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered. Definitely the worst when discussing technology products and services.
For the record, I am no starry eyed newb. For more than a decade I owned and operated a very successful Canadian technology website which attracted more than half a million Canadians a month. During that time, I had the opportunity to test and review many technology product and services. Some technology products and services which I reviewed were wonderful and have become products that I own and love. Other products and service were poor and were quickly discarded, however, none caused the anger and frustration that I experienced with Bell Fibe TV.
While the Fibe TV technology may work in most situations, it will be problematic at some point and then you will have to deal with Bell staff. The arrogance and ineptitude of Bell Fibe TV service staff means this product can never be recommended.
